| Taking any turbo and comparing to another is kinda a no brainier. Smaller turbo's of any kinda are going to peak TQ faster and drop faster. Bigger is going to flow to it's CFM. IMHO, I could never see a TD05/16g or even 18G doing over 700rwhp alone ( non NOS ). With only 1040cfm ( 16g ) of flow on a 3.1L ( bored ). Look at what the 740rwhp TD05 Z's did without NOS. Which is the norm for good running motors around the 580 to 630 ( 18g's ) rwhp. Which the 18G TD05 has a TD06 housing anyway. TD05/16g = 520ea. CFM = 1040 total TD06/20G = 650ea. CFM = 1300 total There really worlds apart in power and given RPM range to flow, easy to see why one's peaking sooner, ones falling sooner, one keeps on going, etc. Post from other day, side by side.
